Don DeVito, who produced Bob Dylan’s classic albums Blood on the Tracks and Desire, has died at the age of 72.
The longtime Columbia Records executive also worked with Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Aerosmith and more during his successful career. DeVito passed away on Friday after a 16-year battle with prostate cancer. His wife Carolyn and two children survive him. Singer Roseanne Cash tweeted about her sadness over his death and revealed that her father, Johnny Cash, introduced DeVito to Bob Dylan.
